The factories have been converted into exclusive bars and restaurants, while the old housing units have been turned into exclusive flats for young professionals.
Many of London’s finest and oldest gastropubs are found in Clerkenwell. In recent years, many new bars and restaurants have opened and the area remains highly attractive for more development. Clerkenwell has a wide array of bars and eateries, ranging from family-oriented wine bars, to large nightclubs and cool underground bars. In the North, Sadler’s Wells is London’s leading venue for contemporary dance. The social scene in Clerkenwell is comparable to Shoreditch in the East End.
