Nicy Studio Apartment in Cihangir

The 50m2 apartment is situated in a very central, easily accessible and yet rather calm part of Cihangir. It is at the 5th and top floor and receives amazing sunlight throughout the day. On one side you have a view to historical building in an ages-old garden with old trees relaxing you and a constant contact with the sky making you feel you are living together with gods. A rather big balcony will make your breakfast a pleasure with the old-city view facing Galata Tower, St.Antuan and Lycee Galatasaray. Besides a comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed, a big sofa is placed in the neatly and widely furnished living space which can actually allow up to 3-4 guests to stay in the apartment.

The way I designed the apartment is that the only walls are between the living space and the bedroom, so you get this chunk of space all at once. Additionally the apartment consists of a well equipped kitchen area (incl. a washing machine), a bathroom and the surrounding windows almost with no gap makes the space incredibly bright. And this makes the apartment easily manageable even for short-term travellers who come to town only to see major historical attractions.

The apartment is 3 min. to tophane tram station; 5 min. to istiklal street and 10 min. to taksim square. Galata Bridge over the Golden Horn and Karaköy district is just down the hill and 10 min. walking distance. So it is actually very convenient for both doing the old city tourist visits and going out to bars, cafes, nice restaurants and clubs at night.
