5 - Mancave in Wicker Park

SUMMARY The perfect stay for large groups visiting the city. Centrally located, it easily accommodates 16 people comfortably. There is 1 bunkbed with 3 twin mattresses together, 1 queen size sofa bed, 1 queen size futon bed, 2 full size sofa beds and 4 air beds.  The Space The space is an underground basement apartment. It is underground because the only way to enter is through the back through our secret door.   It is completely private and will get a key for your private space. Its an open floor layout, so there are no rooms except the bathroom.   All furniture is brand new along with a brand new washroom /shower. Mancave is hidden because its in between a hair salon and our garage where we work on our old school and classic cars. You are responsible for anything that is damaged or stolen.  All of our listings are professionally clean by Task Rabbit so our listings are always impeccably clean.  We want to make your stay with us as comfortable and simple as possible.. All furniture is brand new including pillows and comforters.  We change the sheets every time a new guest arrives.     GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to wireless internet, cable tv (all channels).   Complete DJ equipment (you must ask for needles for vinyl play), and sound system with auxiliary cord inputs, along with life size projector screen with dvd player.  You also have access the extensive vinyl collection. 

Please be VERY careful when playing the records.  We work very hard to maintain and collect these.  Also be careful with the cartridges and needles (no scratching!)   INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We interact often with our guests to make sure they are well accommodated.  We offer a variety of site seeing brochures for those interested in exploring what our great city has to offer. I will be present most of the time to make sure you are comfortable and have everything they need.   We are always around because we live right next door, so if you need anything just call or text us anytime.   THE NEIGHBORHOOD     We are located in Wicker Park, which is one of the most eclectic neighborhoods in Chicago, just blocks away from the coolest bars & restaurants and 1 block south from the I-90/94 expressway (North Ave or Division are the exits closest to us). We are in a vibrant part of the city, an area known for its cute boutiques and specialty shops.  This location attracts tons of visitors, both Chicago locals and tourists alike.  With the Milwaukee avenue strip a block away, you can experience tons of interesting places right at your doorstep.   GETTING AROUND   The Ashland number 9 bus drops you off literally right at our doorstep and the blue line CTA train is 2 blocks south.  Cabs are easily accessible with a click of a button. EXTRA DETAILS   Other Things to note Our next door neighbors are Mott Street bistro.  A couple of doors down from us is Bryson Milan, a high end luxury boutique. There are tons of tacos places and beauty salons up and down Ashland Avenue. Great location and all street parking is free, no meters!   HOUSE RULES You will be treated like family, and can expect a friendly and courteous environment. We expect guests to be respectful of our space, and each other, and to clean up after any common space activities. Beyond that, we're all up late and are very easy going; don't do anything to harm yourself or others and we'll all get along.   LOCATION   Address is 1415 N. Ashland Ave between the two lights from North Avenue and Blackhawk Street.  The space is located behind NOMOBO Salon.  Please DO NOT enter the salon, the entrance is through the back, you must walk around the alley. There will be a lockbox where you will have two keys, one for the warehouse and one for the bathroom.   FROM OHARE: Public Transportation: You can take the blue line all the way to the division stop and the gallery is two blocks north from the train station.  Driving: you can take the 90/94 all the way to the North Avenue exit.  Make a right on North then a quick left at the first light.  Take Ashland two blocks and the gallery is on the left east side of the street at the first light you see which is Blackhawk Street.  It is better to park on Ashland to avoids any permit parking.
