Close by is a supermarkt, a shopping center and some really nice restaurants overlooking 't Ij. If traveling by car, there are some great dutch villages nearby

Parking is free.  Three bycicles comes with the unit.

It's location is a 5 min walk to the bus which takes you right into the center of town, or you can take the 'free' ferry across to Central Station (15 min walk-5 min by bycicle). A few minutes walk there's also a park
