Known for its large gay population which is a bit surprising considering there is a large Jewish-Russian community too. Many of the “attractions”, also known as restaurants to the rest of the world, rose to notoriety mainly because it was a restaurant that insert big celebrity name frequented. Even many of those attractions are mistakenly believed to be in West Hollywood but is actually in Fairfax District. Apparently many love being overloaded with advertisements and flashing signs which can explain the popularity of Times Square and not to be outdone, California has its own version of it; it’s called Sunset Strip. Lots of celebrities live on the strip which is great if you love overpaying for your meals because of the affluent clientele. Oh and if you’re lucky, you might see a celebrity outside and walking; if so feel free to follow them until your camera battery dies. You can also go to Robertson Boulevard to shop at all or just to stalk celebrities but be warned because paparazzis also stake out this area to snap pictures of celebrities so you’ll have to throw a few elbows to get a good picture.
