Rental Details

Description

The apartment is located on a quiet residential street that is within walking distance to Avenue Foch, rue de Longchamp and Avenue Victor Hugo. Whether a stay in Paris is your first or fiftieth you will come across those three streets for sure.

The large bedroom is all clean lines in muted tones that almost look moonlit. The room is enhanced by a spa-like, marble en suite bathroom that's complete with a soaker tub and separate shower stall. The tiled walls and floors are in a soothing shade of sandstone. All you'll need to add are the candles and a glass of wine. Voila! Instant relaxation!

There is a cozy sleeping alcove that's perfect for the occasional overnight guests.

It's so comforting to know that whether you're entertaining or spending a quiet evening in the large dining/living space can accommodate one as easily as it can six or eight. The furnishings are cleverly assembled in a tasteful mix of leather, fabric, metal and glass. There is even a convenient glass and steel office that is quietly tucked away from the main living space.

The windowed kitchen is fully equipped and ready for preparing a simple meal or elaborate feasts. Right within the kitchen area there is a high table & stools for a quick breakfast on the run.

The District

Long held as one of the chicest residential neighborhoods in Paris, the 16th is a curious mix of stately and contemporary residences, museums, embassies as well as notable green spaces like the renowned Bois de Boulogne. Within the Bois lies an incredible Anglo-Chinese gem of a park known as the Parc de Bagatelle. The park was the result of a bet between Marie Antoinette and the Count d'Artois in 1775. The count won the bet and in turn the setting was beautifully landscaped in a mere 64 days. Today, it is home to remarkable trees, rose beds and other themed gardens as well as the yearly international Roseraie de Bagatelle (rose bed) competition. Numerous exciting concerts and exhibitions are held in Parc de Bagatelle throughout the year.

Among some of the most unique museums in the 16th you will find Musee Marmottan. Once a hunting lodge, the museum is home to one of the most expansive collections of Impressionist masterpieces by the likes of Monet, Manet, Degas and Rouart to name a few.

The Musee de la Contrefacon is dedicated to all things counterfeit. Watches, wine, handbags, let your imagination run wild. The museum is conveniently located on the same street as your apartment.

Musee Dapper houses African Art and cultural artifacts from as early as the 12th Century.

The Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is part of the contemporary arts exhibition space known as the Palais de Tokyo. It showcases development in contemporary art from the 20th Century to the present.

And, when the museum tours are completed and you simply want to shop do not miss The Passy Plaza shopping gallery with over 25 boutiques.

The restaurant Monsieur Bleu located at 20, Avenue de New York. Before entering I suggest that you make a stop by the Eiffel Tower that sits right across &/or the Palais de Tokyo to make a day trip out of the experience. The service is all day and the menu is eclectic.

Restaurant Chaumette is a neighborhood bistro located at 7, rue Gros. A good place to re-visit French classics like blanquette de veau and crêpes Suzette.

L'Astrance located at 4, rue Beethoven is a great place to come for an intimate dinner or a peaceful lunch. The chef is partial to Pacific Rim flavors.

The "Stella" restaurant is located at 133, Avenue Victor Hugo, between rue de la Pompe & Avenue Victor Hugo. Their specialities are your typical French Brasseries.
