==== Overview ====

This is a small 2-room cottage nestled behind a classic house in a quiet walkable neighborhood. The cottage is in excellent condition and has been fully remodeled (all new plumbing, electricity, walls, kitchenette, bathroom and flooring). Newer ice-cold A/C. Cottage is 300 square feet. In the fenced back yard, there is a gazebo with a seating area, a fire pit and outdoor dining table. 

Free wifi. Roku 2 streaming player with Netflix/Hulu and more! Big flat-screen LCD TV. Free Netflix access included!

Kitchenette includes: Refrigerator, Microwave, Oven Toaster, 2-top range, Keurig, large cutting board along with dishes, tea and other necessities.

Futon bed is queen-sized. It gets fresh clean fitted sheets for each reservation (along with fresh clean pillow cases and duvet cover).

Besides the short term rentals we make the cottage available at a reduced rate for extended stays. Additionally we offer a discount for traveling nurses and TU students (If you are a traveling nurse or TU student, just write for a special discounted rate).

We are willing to accommodate small dogs (under 30 lbs.) with a refundable pet deposit ($20/night or $100 if reservation is over a week). We will consider inquiries for dogs over 30 lb, if they are calm and well-behaved.

Guests will have full private use of the cottage with all of the amenities listed (including washer and dryer). Guests will access to the fenced back yard, garden and patio/gazebo area along with the fire pit and firewood. 

There are two inside dogs in the main house who will be out in the yard from time to time, but they are well mannered and should not affect your stay.

==== The Neighborhood & Nearby ====

This cottage is conveniently located near the University of Tulsa and Downtown Tulsa between Route 66 and Cherry Street (15th street between Peoria and Harvard). It is less than a mile from the Fairgrounds. Furthermore, it is conveniently located near St. Johns Medical Center, OSU Medical Center and Hillcrest Hospital. 

We have a large map available with many local attractions listed on the table which you can write on with a dry-erase marker. We also have many of our favorite places on our "Guidebook" (A printed version is in the cottage. We also have an online version we can provide).

Nearby art attractions include the Philbrook & Gilcrease Museum (which houses the world's largest, most comprehensive collection of art of the American West) along with the Woody Guthrie Center. We are about five minutes away from great concert and entertainment venues such as the BOK Center, Tulsa Performing Arts Center and Cain’s Ballroom.

Local elegant shopping and dining spots include Utica Square, Cherry Street and Brookside. The Deco District has a variety of restaurants and shopping areas in the heart of downtown including unique Art-Deco-themed shop Decopolis and a Mid-Century-themed restaurant The Vault.

While in Tulsa, visit the local boutiques and shops along these districts. Also, conveniently located nearby are the Blue Dome, Pearl & Brady Art Districts, filled with many Tulsa nightlife destinations. The Brady District includes a variety of art galleries, bars and dining spots along with “Guthrie Green” – an outdoor stage and park in the heart of downtown.

Sports fans will be able to enjoy games at the local universities, such as The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma State University Tulsa, Oklahoma Wesleyan, Langston University and Oral Roberts University.

Within minutes, be at ONEOK Field—home of the Tulsa Drillers, H.A. Chapman Stadium—home of the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane football team, or the BOK Center—home of the WNBA Tulsa Shock & the Tulsa Oilers—the local Central Hockey League team.

Nearby, guests can visit the Tulsa Garden Center rose gardens, Linnaeus Teaching Gardens in Woodward Park. Nature lovers should not miss the beautiful drive along the Arkansas River —Riverside Drive. Families can enjoy a visit to Swan Lake, the Tulsa Zoo and seasonal performances at Discoveryland.

The neighborhood is full of cottage and bungalow-style houses from the 1920's. It is very walkable with friendly neighbors and warm atmosphere. Several nearby parks are within walking distance including Florence Park, Gary Park & Pratt Park. Local food places within walking distance include Maxxwell's, Florence Park Café, Merritt’s Bakery and Capp's BBQ.

Taxis are available along with taxi-app-services such as Uber and Lyft. These two services are often available to the Studio Apartment within 5 minutes. Taxi cost to downtown is typically $10.

Once downtown, ride the Old Urban Trolley for free 5pm - 2am every Friday and Saturday night with stops at Guthrie Green, The Brady Arts District, BOK Center, The Mayo Hotel, Tulsa Deco District, Tulsa PAC and the Blue Dome District.
