Be Warned:
This place has soothing harmonious energies. It will make you feel relaxed and highly positive. :)
Building: An old Piano factory that has been converted to artists lofts. A 5 stories building. There is a regular elevator. Washer and dryer room is on premise.
Access to building roof top on the 6th floor.
Location: Loft is located technically in S.Bronx (Mott Haven) which is 5 minutes away from East Harlem. Many are not familiar yet with this amazing and up and coming neighborhood. This is Williamsburg 5-7 years ago. But still hidden form the main stream eye.
4 other commercial loft buildings around who are occupied by artist and creative people alike.
Neighborhood: Very industrial commercial feel to it. Inspiring to any creative person. Especially for photographers. Lots of locations to shoot. Are is very safe and quiet.
3 minute walk to 138th St. where there are many stores, and grocery stores.
2 major huge grocery stores are close by.
If you have a car there is always a parking spot. Very convenient.
The area is mainly commercial so after 5pm it pretty much barren and quiet. Very safe.
Down the block there is a unique old fashioned bar and restaurant (Bruckner Bar & Grill) owned by one of the neighbors. Cool place to hang out, or have brunch on a Sunday. They have good food in affordable prices.
Commute: Building is 7 minute walk to the 4,5 express trains. 5 minute walk to the 6 train.
10 minutes to midtown Manhattan. 20 min to union sq.
Also the 3rd avenue bridge is right next to the building . Walking to east 125th St. is 10min walk.
Guest Access
There is a small gym in the building. A beautiful roof deck with tables and hammocks.
Anything in the loft is for their use. Including the guitar and the ukulele. :)
Interaction with Guests
It depends on the guest. Usually every few days or so if they don't interact with me. :)
I contact them every now and then to make sure they are having a great time and to see if they need anything else to make their time as pleasant as possible.
The Neighborhood
It's dynamics. It's still gentrified, has character. It's a walking distance to Randall's island park which has bike and jogging lanes all across.
It's walking distance from Harlem - the jazz mecca of manhattan. It has 3 great restaurant and bars around the block. It's fairly quiet and safe.
Getting around
Very convenient. 3 major subway lines and a bus right across the street to manhattan.
