The location itself is unique: not only is the beach just 10 minutes of walk away, and the most famous Istrian city Rovinj 10 km, but you live in an serene Oasis of Nature: since this is a protected ornithological park, no construction is allowed, just some small shepherd shelters pop up here and there from the old times (one of those was transformed into this charming. cottage villa with pool!), so you won’t hear or see any neighbor several kilometers around. This is what nowadays is considered luxury.

One Italian doctor sold his private office in Milan and escaped to this land here, moved into a small shepherded house, which he renovated and turned into his cottage home. He now raises sheep and goats and cultivates olive and wine grooves. You can buy an excellent home-made sheep and goats cheese, fantastic olive oil and wine from him, he is just a couple of kilometers away.

When you walk the macadam road towards the beach, you will reach the sea and wonderful pebble beach. Those seeking more adventure can turn left and enter the camping place with its numerous activities, the others can stay on the right side and enjoy the peace and tranquility of their own small pebble bay.

This rustical cottage Villa is 100% ecological: it has its own solar system generating power, genuine water source on the property and is absolutely independent from the city infrastructure.

Since the solar power is not the same as normal city electricity, there is no water boiler, toaster or coffee machine (but there is a nice italian cafetiera for making coffee).

There is a dishwashing machine, hairdryer and an air-conditioning unit in the living room.

Mysterious Istrian legends

Istrian legends, smells and tastes all create a romantic atmosphere. The old legend of Istrian Terra Magica included a very rich Italian family named Bonassini, who had their main residence in this small village, now almost deserted, with only 1 inhabitant, who is at the same time a village’s mayor.

The family Bonassini suddenly died very mysteriously after the second world war, and many inhabitants from villages around it were very sad about it, since the rich family always helped poor inhabitants with food and other support, when times were tough. They even built the stone oven in the middle of their residence (renovated with love and in use again !), where they baked the bread for people in trouble from all the villages around Bonassini’s residence.

After they mysteriously died, the local people decided to create a special micro small village in dear memory of the greatness of this Italian family. Only 5 houses remained in the village, 4 of them being just a summer residence and 1 being constantly inhabited (the mayor). Now additional 6 villas emerged in this little village, one of which is presented here.
