Livros Apartment - 3 Bedroom in Estrela with Balcony

The apartment is homely and comfortable, in fact our previous guests, from all corners of the world, have commented on how at home they felt! The apartment is situated in a modern building with 2 elevators. There are 3 bedrooms in total and the apartment can comfortable sleep up to 6 guests. There are 2 double bedrooms, one single bedroom and there is the option to place one comfortable inflatable bed in any room. One of the bedrooms leads out onto a sunny veranda great for relaxing in the sun.

The living room is a good size and very homely and comfortable, perfect after a day exploring the enchanting streets of Lisbon. You will find plenty of books for reading and there is Wi-Fi internet. The living room opens out onto a spacious terrace where you can begin your day by taking breakfast outside in the sun whilst looking over the rooftops and church spires of Lisbon, or alternatively unwind in the evening with a glass of wine.

In the kitchen you will find everything you will need to prepare your own meals. We have provided all the necessary utensils and cooking machinery, as well a selection of teas and some home made jams. In the kitchen you will also find the laundry facilities and a dining table and chairs. The apartment is lucky to have 2 full bathrooms meaning you won't have to wait to brush your teeth or take a shower! One of the bathrooms has a bathtub and the other a shower.

The apartment has been decorated taking inspiration from the years that we lived in Japan, Germany and London. We have endeavoured to create a tranquil aura in each division. We really like vintage lamps and items that tell a story, you will find several restored antique pieces of furniture, a little piece of the story of Portugal. We love to travel and have always been well received therefore it is our aim to pass the same sentiment on to all our guests. This is an ideal place for exploring Lisbon and a perfect home for a memorable trip.

Location and Surroundings
The Casa dos Livros is located between Estrela and Campo de Ourique, a neighbourhood with an authentic taste of Lisbon. At the end of the street you will find the Metro station Rato with easy access to the airport or train stations. From the apartment you can easily reach Principe Real on foot or Avenida da Liberdade, one of Lisbon's main streets. Also very close by you will find the beautiful gardens of the 'Jardim da Estrela'. From here you can catch the famous old tramcar, the number 28, which will take you up and around the oldest and most charming areas of Lisbon including the central downtown Baixa and Chiado and up to the castle and the famous Alfama neighbourhood.

In the neighbourhood surrounding the apartment you will find cafe's, esplanades, grocery stores, pharmacies and traditional restaurants, as well as a supermarket at only 5 minutes distance. There are also art galleries and a cultural centre dedicated to a famous previous resident the poet Fernando Pessoa. In Campo de Ourique there is a large fresh produce market with a great selection of Portuguese food and small shops selling all kinds of delicatessen. The area is one of the most sought after in the city and is known for being the residence of artists and journalists. It is great for families as you will find plenty of parks and childrens playgrounds, as well as being calm and tranquil.
