Guests are provided with bedding, towels, high speed wireless internet, TV with international channels, iron, washing machine and a kitchenette (stove; fridge; microwave; toaster) where you can find all the kitchenware that you need to have a full meal. Books from different languages are provided in a "bring a book, take a book" experience. Some worldwide known board games are available too to pass your time in case of an extreme "boring" emergency :) LOCATION: Our location is perfect for both night and daytime expeditions! Just 5 min walk away of Bairro Alto or Av. 24 de Julho, nightlife, but you will sleep in a completely quiet area. You will find being within a stone's throw away of supermarket´s; restaurants; coffee houses; Nannarella ice-cream shop (best in town); the Portuguese Parliament; the house where the famous fado singer (Amalia Rodrigues) use to live; the "Café de São Bento" place where the best steak in town is eaten (don´t forget to check price list menu before go there!) and one of the most kept secrets in town, “Praça das Flores”, a charm and cosy public garden where you can relax and watch the locals and their daily serenity when the day starts to end. When there and if you are a real hot chocolate lover, try the one in "Pão de Canela" coffee house. TRANSPORTATION: Taking tram number 28 will be an once in a lifetime experience and you´ll find a stop within 2 min walking distance. If you are into it ask me and i will direct you to one of the terminals for you to grab a seat and have a more enjoyable experience during the trip. The tram will pass trough every typical Lisbon neighborhood. It will be something like a live postcard. My advice is to get there early, get yourself a seat and bring your sense of fun and sense of humor and you'll have a lovely time. Don´t worry about pickpockets, they don't get up at that time of the morning, they prefer to wait for the crowds :) Other nearby public transportation includes the green, blue and yellow metro lines ("Rato" or "Cais do Sodré" stations) as well as 3 bus lines able to connect you to anywhere in the city. Check my message after booking for detailed information. Although Lisbon is a steeply city you are within walking distance of every major attraction. FEEL AND EXPERIENCE: Beside that I’ve hand wrote all our local tips in a book that you´ll find in the flat, furthermore we invited all our guests to share their tips too in it for all of you get the most out of Lisbon. Upon arrival you will be presented with our handmade cinnamon liqueur and a local map for you to get around as a local when finding the supermarket, a pharmacy or the nearest cash machine. All this to give you a warm welcome and to prepare you to enjoy and get the most out of the oldest city of Western Europe, Lisbon! For instance you can eat for less than 10€ in Paz BBQ (closed on Saturdays) place located less than 30secs walking from your loft or you can avoid all queues when trying to buy the mythic "Pasteis de Belém"... in Belém!
