With this apartment as your base, you can easily travel to the Washington Convention Center, Smithsonian Museums, White House, Ronald Reagan Conference Center, and the National Mall. Plus, it's only a 15 minute walk to lively Dupont Circle and the very hip U Street Corridor is just minutes from your door!

The apartment includes a large living room with queen sleeper sofa, love seat, 52” television (with cable) and a decorative fireplace. Oh and, don't be put off by the "basement" part of the English Basement location, you'll find that natural light from the front bay window streams in and bathes the round, four-person dining table. There's also a small writing desk where you can catch up on your email or other work using the wireless Internet access provided.

The bedroom features a queen-size bed, and full bath. French doors from the bedroom allow you to step right out to a small brick patio, with stairs that lead to Shipman House's main garden and yard areas.

The galley kitchen is completely equipped with full-size appliances, including: electric stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and garbage disposal. All cooking and eating utensils are provided as well.

The apartment has central air and heat, with unit-specific controls for your comfort. All bed and bath linens are provided. The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure, however, daily housekeeping is the responsibility of the guest(s).

Visitors traveling to DC with a car can reserve off street parking directly behind the house for an additional fee.
