The neighbourhood
Rue du Vertbois, is the most exciting street in Paris. It is currently being turned into a high-concept design and gastronomy destination nicknamed La Jeune Rue with over 40 new concept restaurants being built in old ateliers along the street. In addition to the dozens of current restaurants, designers are installing a butcher's shop, cheese shop, seafood restaurant, oyster bar, covered market, cinema, patisserie and more. Read more information by Googling "La Jeune Rue".
In terms of the neighbourhood, the 3ème arrondissement is the 4ème's cooler little brother. It remains incredibly fashionable without being edgy. There are several amazing restaurants in the area including Chez Omar, 404, L'Ami Louis, plus some great bars like Andy Wahloo and La Perle.
There are several boutiques in the area and on Rue du Vertbois, and within walking distance there are all of the main shops in the 4ème along Rue des Rosiers.
There are two must see places within 5 and 10 minutes of the flat: Le Carreau du Temple, which is a beautiful square surrounded by restaurants; and Le Marché des Enfants Rouges, which is Paris's answer to Borough Market, where you can buy organic produce, and dine on fantastic Moroccan, Italian, Japanese and French fare. It is a must for long weekend lunches.
The flat is very centrally located, and is one minute from Metro Temple and a few minutes from République, and Arts-et-Métiers.

Other Things to Note
