Residents in Hammersmith (or as the locals say, Hammertown) work hard and play hard. A commuter central - Hammersmith boasts an underground tube station, an overground train station, and motorway access into and out of West London; it's no surprise that this neighborhood is home to a few multinational corporations (and their latest acquisitions). A busy day in the office typically ends with a healthy pint of beer by the river, which runs to the west of this neighborhood. Although not much of the Hammersmith's historic hamlet is left, there is one terribly important attraction that has remained intact: the original Dove pub. As one of London’s most desirable (and posh!) neighborhoods, Fulham boasts a superior selection of beautifully conceived cottages.
