Unique Home with Treetop Balcony

You are invited to stay in a spacious self contained duplex located close to public transport, the Swan River, the Perth CBD and the popular Mt Lawley cafe strip. With contemporary art and retro furniture throughout, the single bedroom residence has an eclectic style and comfort as well, including a great beds, a well-equipped kitchen and a deep bath. A balcony set in the treetops over-looking the terraced backyard and jungle is the perfect place for BBQs and breakfast.

Reliable wifi is available throughout.

The duplex is attached to (but very independent from) our family home. An "Eclectic Room for 1 or 2 Guests" (our other Roomarama listing) is on 'our' side of the building. A shared laundry with washing machine is located on the ground floor at the rear of the house.

Our huge enchanted backyard has a mini eucalyptus forest, productive banana trees and 2 natural springs . . . . the kitchen benches in our family home are made of wood milled from a Queensland Mahogany planted in our yard over 27 years ago. Our solar-powered electricity, rain water collection, recycling and composting will appeal to guests seeking green-accommodation. Lola, our golden cocker spaniel, will also delight!

The Swan River is at the end of our street ~ a gorgeous walk (or bike ride) in one direction takes you to the free CAT bus in East Perth, inlet cafes, Perth City Farm** and the Perth CBD. The pathway in the other direction meanders for miles through wetlands and parks. Our canoe, called 'Carrot', and a range of push bikes & helmets are available to use.

The duplex is just 12mins drive from the domestic airport (20mins from the international) and 3mins from the interstate train station. Off road parking is available at the front of the duplex.

* The walnut veneer bedroom suite has a comfortable double-bed and a choice of pillow-types. A single futon bed is located in the lounge + privacy screen if required. A sweet Moses basket and a travel cot are available for guests with little ones.

** Perth City Farm has a fabulous coffee shop and organic produce markets on every Saturday from 7am - noon.
