Long before the house existed the area that our home sits now was full of terraced olive tree groves with sheep roaming the hillside. After the 6 day war, the area was incorporated into the municipality of Jerusalem and the subdivision was named Ramat Eshkol (named in honor of Israel’s third president) and homes and apartments began to be built; it was at this time that ground was broken for the house in 1968 and construction began.Ramat Eshkol is one of Jerusalem’s most exclusive areas within the city, and today boasts beautiful high rise apartments and homes on tree lined streets with beautiful gardens. Within walking distance from the house one can go to the local shopping center which includes super market, post office, restaurants, Laundromat and bakery. Within walking distance from the house you will find light rail and many bus lines that go through the neighborhood so one can experience all that Jerusalem has to offer.

In 1991, it became the Bed and Breakfast that it is today and has since provided affordable accommodations to thousands of people from the around the world.

We pride ourselves with giving every guest a true genuine Israeli cultural experience and welcome. Our average guest stay is 6 days which allows one to be able to see all that Holy Jerusalem offers.

Location:

It is located on the slope of a hill in a beautiful and quiet residential area. It is found opposite to “Ammunition Hill” memorial site, above Ramat Eshkol shopping center and near a synagogue.

It is within walking distance from Mount Scopus, Hebrew University, Hadassah Hospital and Har Hozvim industrial park and within ten minutes ride from downtown Jerusalem and the Old City of Jerusalem. Near the house are many bus lines connecting to all parts of town and the new light rail.
