Howdy. Welcome to the Devine Bungalows in historic San Antonio.

We're right there. Yup. Downtown. Riverwalk. That cool restaurant (bliss, monterrey, feast, friendly spot).

In the heart of Southtown San Antonio, and steps from Bliss, Bite, Feast & Taco Haven is your modern, and historically designated Devine St Bungalow.

We've worked hard to create a soft, quiet and appointed craft home in this wonderful historic district. The home was renovated no less than 1yr ago and ALL materials, paints and surfaces are 100% green (NO VOC, no off gassing wood floor stain, etc).

Enjoy a spacious one bedroom with a queen sized Sleep Number w/ memory foam bed, spacious closet, open plan kitchen and living room with BRAND NEW appliances and cabinets. 40in Flat screens with Netflix/HULU/ESPN/Direct TV access are at your fingertips.

As homeowners we have spent innumerable hours thinking about this space. We've tied in fabrics, bedding, appliances and a welcome basket to create a high end experience. Homemade soaps, fresh urban chicken eggs (from our flock) and a quiet stay are what you will enjoy as you visit San Antonio. Give us a shout and lets get you to visit!

GUEST ACCESS:
We enjoy a blessed location, right smack in the restaurant district, near the river walk, the downtown corridor, the hemispfair park and convention center. The Missions are a bike ride away. A Texas sized holiday is one click away...

Guest have their own place. There is an enclosed manicured backyard and a full porch for viewing the day.

Although the chickens are so much fun, we politely ask you find us if you're interested in feeding and procuring eggs.

NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW:
The Lavaca Historic District itself is San Antonio's oldest registered historic neighborhood. According to the Office of Historic Preservation, it's "earliest settlers were carpenters, stonemasons, shopkeepers, clerks, tailors, bartenders, teamsters, and butchers; mostly of Germanic heritage, but also included those of Polish, Hispanic, and African American descent."

This neighborhood has maintained its cultural diversity, and is still home to many artists, architects, medical professionals, academics, stay-at-home parents, restaurateurs, sommeliers, small-business owners, etc.
The community is a wonderful place to live, and its residents embrace each other and socialize with fun gatherings of family and friends, and are always there when you need a hand.

Walk to the dog & kid-friendly "Friendly Spot," or "B & D Icehouse" for a craft beer and some excellent BBQ. We are also around the corner from Bite, Taco Haven, Bliss, and The Monterey for starters. A short walk will take you to our other favorites -- Stella Public House (incredible Naples-style pizza and craft beers), Halcyon Coffee House, Feast (excellent Sunday brunch, too), Beethoven (German Bier Garten), Tito's, Mad Hatter's, and Hot Joy.

The Pearl with its abundant shopping, restaurants and bars is just a few miles down the street, and is easily accessed by walking through downtown, bike or bus.

Our city just announced a $40million dollar investment into the Alamodome (1.8mi away) prior to the NCAA Final Four Game, is finishing the renovation of the brand new Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center (.6mi), and is creating 4 brand new parks in Hemisfair Park (.5mi away)...this is definitely the place to be!

EXTRA DETAILS:
WE GIVE BACK.

Following our son's diagnosis of Williams Syndrome, we made it a family goal to learn, research and give to this amazing association. You've never met a more wonderful human being than a child with Williams Syndrome.

A PORTION OF YOUR RENTAL GOES DIRECTLY TO THIS ORGANIZATION!

So thank you. You just did a good thing.

WE LOVE PETS!

You and your pets (up to two) are welcome to stay with us. We are true animal lovers, and in addition to rescuing more than 6 dogs and cats since moving to San Antonio in 2013, we share our home with two rescue doggies -- a Korean Jindo and a standard Poodle. We are also the care-takers of 2 outdoor (formerly feral) kitties, and a few laying hens. Our pets are kept entirely separate from our rentals, but you are welcome to visit any of them if you like.

To account for cleaning, and any additional wear and tear on the furnishings and floors, we do charge a $10-night fee per night per pet.
