Sunset Beach is a peaceful beachside 12 condo resort just south of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Enjoy a gorgeous view out to the Barrier Reef, a sandy beach, pool, pier, complimentary bikes & kayaks, & more!

We have two one bedroom/one bath ground level condos (A2 & A3). Each has a covered porch with a fabulous view overlooking the pool and the sea. The Belize Barrier Reef is only ½ mile (1 km) away and, from the resort, you can see the waves crashing over it. Have a seat on one of the chairs and enjoy a drink or a meal while just admiring the view!

You enter the condo into the spacious living/dining area. You’ll find comfortable chairs and a couch (which converts to a queen sleeper sofa) as well as dining seating for four both at the table and the counter. Just beyond is the fully equipped kitchen, and a little farther is the full bath. The bedroom with queen bed is in the back of the condo. Enjoy high speed wireless internet, phone, central air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, and tiled floors throughout. You’ll feel at home here!

At the resort itself, you have access to:
• 200 feet of sandy beach
• a pier with “palapa” and swimming/snorkeling area (including small artificial reef)
• a fresh water pool (with “bar stools” at one end so you have easy access to the outdoor dining area while still in the pool)

Should you need to do laundry, there is a token-operated washer and dryer on the premises, or pick up/drop off laundry service can be arranged.

Once booked, you are connected with our concierge team who can help you with island flights, golf cart bookings, tours, etc. Our concierge team together has nearly 30 years experience living on Ambergris Caye and can answer any questions you may have before your arrival and during your stay! We also have an on site caretaker at the resort who can help with any questions or issues that may arise.

The prices below are in US dollars, include the 9% Belize hotel tax, and are based on one or two guests :
Jan 4 to Apr 30: $196/night (3 night minimum stay)
**May 1 to Dec 18: $175night** (3 night minimum stay)
**For every 7 nights booked during this period, your 8th night is free!
Dec 19, 2014 to Jan 3, 2015: $240/night (5 night minimum stay)

-$33 per person per night for more than 2 guests (up to 4 total guests)

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCATION:

Ambergris Caye, “La Isla Bonita”, is a popular tourist destination. The Belize Barrier Reef, the longest in the western hemisphere, is just ~1/2 mile (1km) off shore. The water is warm and crystal clear--ideal for scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing.

San Pedro is a quaint little town of about 13,000 residents that has retained its charm while handling the growing number of visitors. Sunset Beach Resort is located 2.5 miles/4 km south of the town core, which means you are away from the crowds yet still within easy reach of everything. Not only will you be able to enjoy a restful day on a quiet beach, you will have a quiet night as well – no bar or restaurant noise, just swaying coconut fronds and the occasional fish jumping in the water!

Town is not far away when you want to go in for some live music, shopping, restaurants, etc. But there are things close by too; here are a few things within walking distance of Sunset Beach:
--Suya Tour operators (1 minute walk)
--Marin’s, a small grocery store (2 minute walk)
--Restaurants: Lone Star Grill & Black Orchid (4 minute walk)
--Island Time Beach Bar (10 minute walk)
--A beach yard filled with coconut sculptures! (15 minute walk)

It's also easy to take a day trip from the resort to visit Maya sites such as Altun Ha and Lamanai; or a trip to observe some of the 500 species of birds found in Belize and/or catch a glimpse of monkeys, manatees and crocodiles in the wild!

Getting around:
Most people rent golf carts when visiting Ambergris Caye (it’s not possible to rent a car). Our concierge team can arrange your golf cart rental and have it waiting for you at Sunset Beach on your arrival if you wish. Rental costs depend on the cart size and time of year but start at about US$275/week.

As mentioned, there are also complimentary bikes & kayaks available at the resort. It’s about a 10 minute bike ride into town.

It’s also possible to walk to town, either via the beach (40 minutes to an hour, depending on how fast you walk) or via the road (slightly longer).

Taxis (either water or regular) are also available.
