The POW House - DC Room

The Space

Hello guests, welcome to The POW House! We’ve obviously attracted your attention with our DC-themed guestroom, so why not come and spend a night…or two? Take a trip down memory lane as you enter your rooms with your favorite childhood superheroes. Forget about the real world and immerse yourself in our world of superheroes and the battle between good and evil. We offer private rooms with a shared bathroom. The house is newly remodeled with brand new furnishings and we like to keep it VERY clean. The guest rooms and bathroom are located on the second level of the house.

The DC Room consists of a spacious memory foam California King Bed, perfect for a larger group of people. This bed can sleep up to 4 adults, comfortably. We can also set up a twin airbed in the room upon request. I think you’ll be able to guess who our favorite characters are once you spend the night.

There is plenty of closet space for you and your friends to situate your belongings and relax after a long day of traveling or touring the city. Not to mention, the mirrors on these closet doors are also VERY, VERY flattering, so go ahead and snap a few of those #selfies for those #ootd posts! Oh yea, there are also plenty of outlets for all our fellow social media fiends to charge their phones and laptops to stay connected. (Trust us when we say we understand the pain of having your charger but nowhere to charge your dying phone.)

The shared bathroom is located in the hallway leading to your rooms for quick and convenient access.

Guests are free to do their laundry within the designated laundry hours between 9AM to 9PM. The master bedroom where we reside is on the main level near the entrance, right behind the laundry room, so we ask guests to try to finish their laundry by the designated time. Guests are welcome to park in our driveway so you don’t have to worry about taking forever to find a spot, or about the safety of your vehicle once you finally located a parking spot.

 

Guest Access

Guests are welcome to use all common areas such as the living room, kitchen, laundry room, and balcony. The house has amazing lighting in the daytime. Feel free to sprawl out on the couch with a cup of tea or coffee and read your favorite book (or comic), get some work done (if you have any), or just lounge around and watch some TV. The house has a beautiful view of the Bay Bridge and surrounding areas for breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. We also have an apple tree growing in the backyard so feel free to pick some apples while you’re out there enjoying the view! It doesn’t get any fresher or more organic than that.

Interaction with Guests

We work from home on weekdays (usually finish by 5) so please try to keep the noise level down from 11PM to 7AM, but don’t be shy and feel free to interact with us, especially if you’re here during the weekend! We love meeting new people and hearing their stories. If weather permits, we can all barbecue together in the backyard and play a game of pong or flip cup while we share our experiences. Just don’t drive after you drink!

We offer our guests fresh linens and towels, complimentary coffee and eggs, along with access to the Wi-Fi. We ask our guests to be respectful of other guests as we try our best to accommodate everyone. Feel free to join us for our meals if you don’t feel like eating out!

Other Things to Note

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests who are traveling with pets.

We have the rights to refuse service to any guest before and during their stay for noise and behavioral violations with no to partial refund depending on severity of violation.
Also, we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
