Rental Details
Set in its own apple orchard, Bookers cottage sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. The cottage is beautifully appointed with a range of antique furniture, opulent soft furnishings and an elegant muted palette on the walls. Each of the rooms has been thoughtfully finished and portrays luxury without sacrificing a family friendly vibe. The master bedroom is a romantic haven for any frazzled parents, with a grand four poster mahogany king sized bed, large ensuite bathroom and lovely views across the orchard to the abbey beyond. The two further rooms are equally as beautiful, both with twin beds and perfect for little ones. Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden in which the mini guests can roam and play about in and a terrace, an idyll spot for alfresco dining in the summer months or a relaxing glass of wine once the little ones are safely tucked up in bed.
In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis, croquet, swimming, gym and the Stables Spa offering all sorts of treatments and pampering, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Our spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world. There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up clothes, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors. Bruern's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds - Oxford is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theatre under an hour, and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely wildlife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern. Bruern is also easy to get to by both train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristo.
