Mountain House in Denver (Kosher)

Cute quiet mountain house in the middle of Denver. Best of both worlds. Great charm and comfortable living space. Kept meticulously clean. Large yard with grassy area, wooded area, and large garden. Walking paths and benches throughout. Great hosts!


- The Space -

We have affectionately named our place the Pontiac Lodge! Feel like you're in the mountains, while conveniently located in the city.

The house is open-concept with a significant focus of common space. The house is kept meticulously clean and very welcoming. There is a very comfortable formal living room next to your bedroom for reading and leisure with large windows and a wood-burning iron fireplace. The den is equipped with a large TV and sound system. It is great for watching movies, and we have a large movie library for you to choose from. The backyard is very large, private, and secluded. Fully fenced in with a large garden, grassy area, and wooded area. There are also two hammocks, including one two-person hammock, as well as lounge chairs and a fire pit.

The guest bedroom is conveniently located near the front entrance and coat closet on the main floor. No steps aside for the front porch and one to enter the house. You are treated to a large private bedroom. The room has a brand new comfortable Queen-size bed, two nightstands with lamps, and a chest dresser. There is a large walk-in closet with hangers and shelves to easily store everything you have and eliminate clutter. The room also has its own spacious private bathroom with over-sized shower and double heat lamp. The shower has good water pressure and a dual shower head (fixed and tethered) which can be operated independently or simultaneously (3-way functionality). Hand and bath towels are provided, as well as miniature bathroom amenities, such as soap and shampoo.

- Guest Access -

Feel free to come and go as you please with your own key. You are more than welcome to use the formal living room, TV room, and backyard. Please refrain from using the dinning room and kitchen, due to those rooms being fully kosher.

The main-floor washer and dryer are available to use for free. We also have free high-speed wireless internet throughout the house (125Mb down / 20Mb up). The TV is connected to cable (including HBO), a Roku (media streamer), and the 5.1 sound system. The Roku has many apps, including Hulu+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video, and it is connected to our Plex home media server, which has a large movie library. All controlled by a simple-to-use universal Harmony remote.

- Interaction with Guests -

We are very welcoming and gracious hosts. We both work from home, so we will likely be home during your entire stay. Our office space is removed from the common area and will not affect or be affected by your presence.

We are happy to assist with any of your needs, including technology, local recommendations, guidance of public transportation, or anything else.

We are active rock climbers and do so multiple times per week. If you are interested in rock climbing or working out, we can drive you to the Movement Rock Climbing + Fitness gym whenever we are going (we can coordinate with you). The Movement rock climbing gym is also a full weight and fitness gym with 40+ fitness classes per week.

I typically go snowboarding at Vail-partnered resorts (my favorites are Breckenridge and A-Basin) every Sunday during ski season. You are welcome to ride-share to the mountains in a comfortable AWD SUV. We have a ski rack for the gear. Contribution for gas, mileage, and resort parking fees is requested.

I also enjoy running, and always appreciate having a running partner, if interested. Typically 3 to 5 miles at an 8- to 9-min/mile pace.

- The Neighborhood -

We are located in a quiet suburban neighborhood. There are a number of parks nearby, including the Lowery Sports Park (sports fields/courts, running track, ice skating).

We are less than a mile walk to the shops and restaurants at Lowery Town Center and also less than a mile walk to the stores, restaurants, and entertainment found on Leetsdale Drive. We a short drive/bike ride to the Cherry Creek district and downtown.

There are many houses of worship nearby. A short walk for a number of Jewish synagogues (reform, conservative, orthodox, and Sephardi). A short drive for a number of Christian churches.

- Getting Around -

All street parking is free and ample.

Downtown is a 15 minute drive or ~$12 Uber away. The nearest bus stop is just around the corner, less than 500 feet away. We are 2½ miles (~$5 Uber) from the trendy Cherry Creek district. It is also easy and enjoyable to bike the 7 miles to downtown along the creek on the Cherry Creek bike path (it takes us about a half hour).

We are happy to drive you to the gym (Movement Climbing + Fitness) or the ski mountains if we are already head to those destinations.

- Other Things to Note -

We have a dog. Her name is Lola. She is extremely friendly and obedient. She does not bark or lick, but she does love to cuddle and get pet. She knows not to enter the guest room and will not disturb you (unless you ask her to).

If you would like to bring your own dog for Lola to play with, we will consider it on a case-by-case basis.
