4 Bedroom House in Frankfort, MI

The cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and is 1750 square feet in size and 10 adults can sleep here. The living room has a sofa (that opens up to provide a second bed), a reclining chair (great for relaxing after a day at Crystal), and a flat-screen television with an extended channel package from DirecTV. It also includes free high-speed WiFi (12 Mbps). It has a beautiful, modern, and highly functional kitchen that includes a gas range (cooktop and oven), microwave, coffee pot, numerous pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and cutlery. Outside, there is a gas grill and an outdoor dining table and chairs are provided on the deck and front porch during the summer months. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, including a kids room that has 2 very cute twin beds, and a nice modern baby crib in it. There are 1.5 bathrooms downstairs (each downstairs bathroom has a shower) and a full bathroom upstairs that features a large and wonderful Jacuzzi tub. One of the downstairs bathrooms also includes a very nice washer and dryer.

The property is landscaped with beautiful dunegrass in front of the house, which adds to the relaxing "lake effect" and beachy feel of the home. Parking is available in the driveway, in the large detached boat garage behind the house, and on the street. Pets are allowed within reason. To allow us to have the home properly cleaned and prepared for incoming guests, we ask that guests check-out by 12:00 PM and that new guests arrive after 4:00 PM.

The cottage is located at 719 Forest Avenue (M22) in beautiful and historic Frankfort, Michigan, which provides excellent fishing, shopping, dining, hiking, biking, and sunbathing / relaxing on the shore of Lake Michigan on beautiful Frankfort Beach, which is only 0.6 miles from the cottage. While in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood, it is only 1 block away from Main Street and downtown Frankfort. Relaxing on the beach and enjoying Lake Michigan and the beautiful sunsets on Lake Michigan is probably the most popular activity in town during the summer months. Spectacular Sleeping Bear Dunes is only 30 minutes away and offers a wealth of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and scenic drives. The cottage is also only 0.2 miles from the Betsie Valley Trail, which provides 22 miles of trails for biking, rollerblading, running, hiking, and snowmobiling.

This rental house is easy to find and is located right on the legendary M22 only 20 minutes from Crystal Mountain. The house is open year-round and during the winter months guests can enjoy skiing / snowboarding at Crystal Mountain Resort or doing some snowmobiling or cross-country skiing in the northwestern corner of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. Sleeping Bear Dunes and Frankfort Beach are both open year-round, of course, and the dunes, beaches, and Lake Michigan present their own special beauty during the icy winter months - you just need to dress very warmly when going there in the winter!  In terms of weather, the latitude of being in northern Michigan in combination with being directly on Lake Michigan keeps Frankfort nicely cool in the summer and warmer than surrounding areas in the winter.
