POSITION

Villa Dionysus is situated in the immediate vicinity of the coast in the turquoise bay of Gradina, only 4 km away from the town of Vela Luka on the breathtaking island of Korcula.

You will be able to enjoy fabulous sea views from the poll terraces and all bedroom balconies, creating an intimate connection with the sea. It is a true paradise for relaxation.

Villa Dionysus consists of the main house and a guest house (which, although a part of the villa estate, can be completely separated from the main house).

Six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms can easily host 12 people (even 14 if children are included).

INTERIOR

The main house includes two floors, the ground floor and the first floor.

The ground floor boasts with complete kitchen facilities, including a dining room, a bathroom, and one bedroom with a double bed and a terrace with outdoor terrace furniture.

A few stairs bring you to a mezzanine revealing a luxurious living room with LCD panel and a romantic fireplace.

The first floor exhibits 4 bedrooms each with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom as well as an exit to a balcony with a striking view of the sea which you can admire from the comfortable terrace furniture.

The guest house is situated right next to the main house giving the impression of an apartment: a living room with a kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom with a balcony uncovering a stunning view of the sea.

Guest house is ideal for a nanny or a pair of teenagers that need a bit more privacy from the rest of the party.

GREEN EXTERIOR

The surroundings of the villa are rich with Mediterranean vegetation where a path through a small olive tree plantation leads to a pebble-rock beach only 20 meters away.

The swimming pool is the absolute highlight of this villa, endowing it with an aura of peace and nature. It is heated and has a waterfall, salt water and a massage Jacuzzi on the terrace.

The terrace surrounding the pool is equipped with large day beds with loads of cushions - perfect to read a book and look onto the sea with a cappuccino or cocktail.

Rounding up this magnificence is a breathtaking view of the sea, the smaller islands and anchored sail boats.

AL FRESCO DINING

There is a hacienda – a thatched terrace located by the pool which can be converted into a closed space (all glass - to keep the beautiful view of the breathtaking turquoise bay still in sight) with a table and chairs as well as an external grill.

It is ideal for family meals, social gatherings and parties.

PRIVATE WELLNESS

Apart from the Finnish sauna there is also an internal Jacuzzi, a massage unit and fitness devices in the Wellness-spa area.

Cook and cleaning service are available at request, as well as excellent massage and on-site spa treatments.

Since the pool is heated and the hacienda/terrace can be completely closed, this makes Villa Dionysus an ideal destination in the winter months as well.

Beautiful landscaped Mediterranean gardens lead directly to a jetty and pebble beach ideal for swimming.

Beautiful lighting helps create an incredibly romantic atmosphere when spending the evening by the pool.

Direct surrounding

Just 5 minute drive away is also the busier towns of Vela Luka and the ferry port that connects this part of the Island with Split airport.

Whilst in the town, make sure to stock up on fresh fish, fruit and vegetables from the local market and get some more local red and white wine from the villa owner (you will certainly fall in love with it after you open owner complimentary bottle in the villa).

The best part of having this wonderful host at your service is that they are pleased to stock you with their home grown tomato, potato, salad and other fruits, coming from their own garden with lots of love and care.

If you feel like getting to know them, they will invite you into their own home (a villa itself, nothing less glamorous than yours!) and you will be treated again with Elda’s gastronomic specialties!

Otherwise they respect your privacy if you feel more like being on your own and you don’t even notice them (they take care of the garden and pool water quality every day early in the morning).

Korcula has an abundance of galleries and fabulous restaurants, not to mention the charm of a medieval town with the surrounding walls, city towers with cocktail bars on top and adorable small shops with beautiful unique jewelry!

BEACHES

Gradina Bay, where the villa resides, has a variety of mostly small pebble beaches bordered by pine woods. You can find natural bays with crystal clear sea, fine pebble beaches, rocky beaches, and some sandy sections as well.

The pebble beaches and calm seas surrounding the island are inviting, alluring and ideal for exploring, fishing and boating; as well as providing abundant opportunities for snorkeling and scuba diving to see the beautiful underwater sites.

Nearby is a large native pine forest, suited for hiking and bike riding during the entire year.

Many secluded beaches are accessible only through hiking trails or by boat. Owners will help you rent a small (or big) boat and you can reach all those secluded beaches and be alone there, which is a rare luxury.

There is a small restaurant in the village (300 m from the villa, directly at the sea), a small bakery stand (200 m), and all the rest (cafe, restaurants, supermarkets, market, post office, doctor…etc.,) is 5 minutes drive away in Vela Luka (4 km).

What to discover in Korcula and its surroundings?

-Medieval Korcula old town, being 45 km distanced from the Villa Dionysus, retains charming authenticity of old Venetian coastal town with protective city walls and towers.

-If glamour and sophistication sound up your street this summer, then head to Dubrovnik (UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, 140 km away), where famous summer festival takes place each year with the best actors, singers and dancers of the world

-Head with Catamaran (1 hour) to the island of Hvar, called also Croatia’s Saint Tropes – glamorous palms, fancy yachts, party cocktail bars and amazing old town with neighboring private islands attract many of the world celebrities.
