Hola! An opportunity to stay in our beautiful house with outstanding views across the city of Cusco, Andes & valley. We have cozy single rooms, big double or twin rooms with unmatched views, and even a Penthouse Suite with 240 degrees of panorama. We are located in the popular and artistic San Blas area.

We have 3 properties - the main house with 6 rooms, a brand new adjacent house with 6 rooms plus the penthouse, and a 3 bed flat close by. All are socialble, all are quiet. The perfect home away from home.

We are in a quiet residential area, a breath away from beautiful San Blas, with its ancient cobbled streets and cosmopolitan atmosphere. This is the most charming part of Cusco and has every amenity, relaxed bars & cafes, writers, musicians & artists. Five minutes walk more and you're in the Plaza de Armas, Cusco's bustling centre. We are within walking distance of all Cusco´s major archaeological sites and away from the noise & pollution of the dirty suburbs. With our fast wifi, hot showers & lovely people from all over the world, Casa Mirador is the perfect place to stay.

***Update June 2015*** New rooms available. We're installing a 2nd internet connection and have installed a 2nd water tank to shield us from the dry season when Cusco water regularly switch off the water supply in a bid to conserve water. This year has been particularly dry with some homes & hotels going 3 days without water because they don't have tanks.

Here we have a great mix of people from all over the world: Europe, America, Peru, Australia, Japan, etc... Some work here, some are just passing through. But together we keep the place nice for all of us and it´s a friendly place. If you are looking for a home for your stay in Cusco then this is the place for you. If you prefer to be waited on hand & foot in a formal environment, then please try the Monestario Hotel!

Rooms are furnished with storage, desk, bedding and a bedside unit. Bedding includes a duvet, rare in Cusco. All rooms are private and have a lock.

Please be aware that Cusco is very cold at night in the winter (we are at a high altitude.) If you would like a heater included with your booking, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.

We can provide local information and help with your stay in the area. If you would like, we can sometimes show you some of the key areas in the town.
You can choose how much you want to socialise with the other people who live here. We sometimes go out together and there are 3 common areas, the living room, the veranda and the kitchen. We usually find that people who like socialising meet together, but if you prefer your stay to be a bit quieter, then you can retire to your room. The choice is yours.

The property is located in a quiet & safe residential area with small shops & huge Inka stone and garden where people sit and relax. There is private security patrolling the area at night and it is one of the better areas of the city. There is very little traffic here so there are no honking horns and the air is fresh. But you are close enough to walk to all the major places of the city. 2 minutes walk away is beautiful San Blas. Please note:
Cusco is built in a valley between 2 mountain ranges. Most residential areas are up from the centre, as this house is. We usually walk to & from the town, but when necessary, taxis can be hailed to bring you home. From the road there are some steps up to the door so if you have mobility questions, please ask.

Sorry for the strict cancellation policy. Because our rooms are often taken on a long term basis, cancellations hit us hard so we have to implement this.

Please remember that this is a home, not a hotel, even if you're only staying a few days. It's actually several homes all within the same building. Many people live here long-term and we all live our own lives. In order that the house runs nicely for all of us, we all clean up after ourselves...you too! We have a cleaner that comes in once a week, so there are no chores, just respect for all the guests and that we all want a nice place to stay. And it is. Almost everybody that has stayed here has respected this and we are so grateful to them.
That goes for noise too. Most of us socialise, but not all at the same time, so keep noise to a minimum if you come in late at night or leave early morning.
Please keep your room in decent order and respect the items provided. Damages must be paid for. You are renting the room as you would in a home, not a hostel, environment. Your room will be clean when you move in, and equipment is provided for you to maintain this. If you don't have time to clean your room then you can ask our cleaner and pay her independently.
Similarly with bedding, we provide this, and a towel if you need one, but we don't have enough for spares, so if you are staying long term, you can launder the sheets as needed.

No smoking in the house.
