Rental Details
The cottage is at the back of the courtyard to the left of the central arches. It was once a stable, but you would never realize this now. The front door opens into a lofty drawing-room. This is large and rather grander than you would expect - more country house than holiday cottage. The French windows look onto a large terrace, with magnificent views over the lawn and borders of the walled garden.
The luxurious accommodation has 1 double bedroom with four poster bed and en-suite plus two
twin bedrooms give sleeping for 6 with ample room for a cot.
The Cottage has tasteful rustic décor complemented by the Oak-beamed kitchen.
In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include croquet, swimming, gym and the Stables Spa offering all sorts of treatments and pampering, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Our spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world. There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up clothes, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.
Bruern's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds-Oxford
is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theatre under an hour,
and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely
wildlife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern. Bruern is also easy to get to by both train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristo.
