Typical House in Chianti

The holdiay home "Il Nespolo" ("The Medlar") is an ideal place where you can relax and spend your holiday in a tranquil setting in contact with the sounds and smells of tuscan nature.

The house is situated in the heart of Chianti in a typical hamlet dating from the 1400's surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.

In the vicinity there are many towns of historical and cultural interest that you can visit as well as soaking up the spectacular and beautiful views of the country side.

The house is only 25km from Florence and 35km from Siena.

The holdiay home "Il Nespolo" was built in the 1400's by the Parish of Campoli (dating from the 1000's) as a convent for the nuns.
In the beginning of the 1800's the house and the hamlet were transformed into civilian homes for the farmers who worked for the Parish.

In 2010 the property was completely renovated.

The house is split over two levels.

On the ground floor there is a spacious dining room with an orginal open fireplace which can be used as a bbq and a large kitchen supplied with all the necessary appliances and utensils.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, a third bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom with a large shower and the living room where is possible to add another bed.
The house still has most of its antique furnishings dating from between the 1700's and 1800's. The floor inside is the orginal clay baked paving and the ceilings have exposed wooden beams.

The outside of the house has two big porches where you can stay and relax and a private garden of 300 mq with bbq,tables,chairs under the shade of our "Nespolo" (the medlar).
