Amazing 2 Bedroom House in Sainte Marie de Re

Looking for a special holiday on a French island? Ile de Ré is accessible by bridge. The house is located at four kilometres from the village of Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, just three hundred metres from the sea and beach. It is semi-detached but a fence provides every house with lots of privacy. Around the house there are shared enclosed grounds with trees and shrubs. The accommodation is on one level and the windows and green shutters are typical of the region. The historic port of La Rochelle (13 km) is within easy reach by car. During the French religious wars of the sixteenth century this was a Protestant stronghold. Among other things it houses Europe's largest aquarium. Bikers can enjoy themselves on the island too. There are numerous bike paths. A two kilometre bike ride away is a beach with professional supervision. The walled town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré (8 km) has a citadel and a harbour where you can eat well. Do try the oysters once! A little further away at the western tip of the island is Les Baleines (24 km). Here you have a magnificent view over the Atlantic. The old naval town of Rochefort (50 km) is highly recommended.
