This detached holiday cottage has been given a beach theme because of the short distance to the IJsselmeer. In the house you will find two small bedrooms as well as one extra bed in the open bedroom on the first floor. The holiday house is very fully equipped, and there are even books and board games waiting for you. The house has its own terrace with a great view of the countryside. The house is situated on an estate that also contains horse stables, though you will hardly notice they are there. There is also the option to bring your own horse along when you holiday here (must be arranged in advance). The IJsselmeer is a great place to go horseback riding on the beach in the evening.

The IJsselmeer is within walking distance from the holiday house and water sport enthusiasts will be in their element here, with options that include surfing, sailing, kiting, canoeing and swimming. Workum also has a lovely beach on the IJsselmeer, and you can rent a boat as well. The towns of Hindeloopen and Stavoren, part of Friesland's Eleven Cities skating tour, are also nice daytrip destinations. Anyone who loves peace and quiet and the outdoors will find lovely cycling and hiking here. Workum itself is a vibrant little town with a variety of restaurants, cafes, galleries and museums. In the town centre you will find the well-known Jopie Huisman Museum, where you can admire the artist's paintings. Workum has everything you need for both an active and relaxing holiday.
