“Rumah Kartika Dharma" is a traditional Balilnese/ contemporary California themed house, designed for indoor/outdoor living pleasure. It is incredibly private (a rarity for Bali), with an unobstructed 270 degree view of the Campuhan River Gorge. Built on 4 levels of land, it contains a main house with 2 A/C bedrooms, one with a small king bed; the other with queen and twin bed, as well as a lounge/sleeping area upstairs, equipped with an armoire and hand carved Chinese Wedding bed with full-sized mattress, a gazebo designed for yoga, meditation, high tea, etc, and a small poolside storage structure. It has a lily pond and is beautifully landscaped with mature tropical flowers, trees, and shrubs. Butterflies and birds abound. The estate is private and designed for only one family at a time; no shared facilities. It is an older house (but continually upgraded), with the patina that comes from 30 years of existence; it was one of the first 5 western houses built in the vicinity of Ubud.
2 enclosed bedrooms, A/C, each ~ 5.5X5.5 meters, each with semi-enclosed tropical-type bathrooms (shower only); kitchen/serving area; large partially-enclosed upstairs perfect for studying, writing, dancing, massage.
Amenities: a) Full services, staff of 3, who provide: all cleaning, errands, pool care, childcare, laundry, gourmet cooking (2 meals/ day; guests pay for groceries), arrangements for car/driver, etc. b) all bed linens, towels; c) full kitchen; d) washing machine; e) TV and VCR; f) wireless Internet; g) spring-fed, 4X 12 meter tiled private swimming pool; h) A/C 2 bedrooms; fan/mosquito netting 3rd sleeping area; i) partially open second floor for dancing, painting, lounging, etc; j) large, 4 m. wide, veranda on 2 sides of the house, facing river gorge; k) refrigerator; l) car/driver always available (separate fee); in-house Balinese massage available (separate fee). Parking available at Hotel Sri Ratih parking area, ~ 150 m from house.(**NO direct automobile access to house: house is down a footpath ~ 150 m. from parking area, path is moderately steep at top- not for guests with walking difficulties!)
