Walk across the street to Franklin's BBQ, one of the most popular BBQ locations in the country. The 11st Street district is one block away. Downtown and 6th Street is an easy 10 minute walk. One of the most popular SXSW spots, Fader Fort, is just down the street. Everything you need out of Austin is within walking distance from your new Austin home.

On 11th Street, right outside of the home, savvy devotees start lining up for Franklin's BBQ at 10 a.m. Hillside Farmacy, the city's popular new farm-to-table restaurant, Tiny Taiga, a super foods and supplements shop, and Blue Dahlia all lure intrepid foodies. The historic Victory Grill -- part of the Chitlin Circuit which hosted gigs by B.B. King, W.C. Clark and Bobby Bland during segregation -- still packs a crowd for live music. All of this and much more is available with not much more than stepping off of the porch.

6th Street east of I-35 rewards urban explorers with a rich variety of settings, cuisines and beer experiences. East 6th bars -- the historic Scoot Inn; The Liberty Bar; Hi Hat Public House; and Shangri-La - offer patrons everything from large beer gardens to vintage video games and outdoor films. Hops & Grain Brewery offers tours and tastings.

All the businesses you'll find in the East Side are mom-and-pop concerns. A visit is appealing day or night. It's all just a stone's throw from downtown. There's a Zipcar location one block away along with multiple bus stops for those that want to explore outside of downtown Austin. Renting a car isn't necessary staying here, but there's off street parking available if you do bring a car.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. 2 bedrooms feature queen beds. The third bedroom has a couch that folds down for additional sleeping and is recommended for one person, but could fit two. Living room also has a couch that could sleep another person. Fresh sheets and towels are ready for your stay. There's a full size kitchen with everything you need from dishes, pots and pans, a microwave, full refrigerator, and much more. There's a full size washer and dryer included inside the house in its own laundry room. The front porch overlooks downtown and has seating for four.

After your reservation is made you're provided with a keyless entry code for easy access when you arrive. Once you check-in there is a welcome packet provided with restaurant and sightseeing suggestions, wireless internet instructions, and other detailed information to provide you with the best possible experience.
