LOCATION: Only 2.9 Miles to Movement Festival! 7-10min car or 15-20min bike. COZY CLEAN PRIVATE ROOM with king bed (Size: 76 in x 80 in). Functional shower/ toilet in shared space. We are still under renovation: PLEASE GO THROUGH THE PICTURES BEFORE YOU INQUIRE to make sure our space meets your expectation. There are 3 rooms opened for booking so expect a community vibe. All proceeds go to help us bring this big classic 1930s house back to life!

The Space

This is a small private room with a king bed (Size: 76 in x 80 in). Functional shower/ toilet in shared space. We are still under renovation so PLEASE GO THROUGH THE PICTURES BEFORE YOU INQUIRE to make sure your expectation is matched. There are currently 3 rooms opened for booking, one with single beds (shared room) and 2 private rooms.

Since there will be travellers staying at the same time, the space will have a strong community vibe. It's a great way to meet people from all over and we've made a lots of friends while we are traveling and staying in this communal environment. With that being said, if you require more privacy, this is probably not the best place for you but most guests see it as a great way to meet people and embrace the community vibe as part of the adventure.

Guest Access

Guests can access their room and the shared bathroom. The rest is off limit.

Interaction with Guests

Due to limited fund and labour, we will probably be very busy serving all needs of guests during MOVEMENT. In case you need anything, please message us and we will help as quickly as we could.

OUR STORY
Our relationship started in a hostel in Malaga, Spain in 2008. Since then, we've always dreamed of having our own hostel. To us, hostel has been the magical place that connected us, and we want to have a space where we help very different people to connect.

In 2013, we've moved to Detroit and have learnt a lot along the way, fixing up old houses one at a time and hosting travellers from all around the world. After accumulated these renovation skills and hosting experience, we've decided to take on this next step to our dream - turning this old conveleson home into a modern affordable accommodation for travellers like ourselves.

We are at the start of our journey here so our space is very rustic now. It is still under renovation and we want to be open about this. AGAIN, PLEASE GO THROUGH THE PICTURES BEFORE YOU INQUIRE. We hope that through listing on an early stage, we can provide affordable, comfy and clean accommodation for the right travellers and an opportunity for you to participate in our adventure. All rent will go straight back into renovation and that is vital contribution to our currently very tight budget. With a dream and a ton of hard work, we hope that next time when you visit us, you will witness our progress, just as the same way we've been seeing the city's speedy progress in the past few years.
