Relax and enjoy this spacious 19th century stone house lovingly restored and fitted out to a high standard, just steps from the water. Our three-story home sleeps six and consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, wine cellar and terrace (with a sea view!). Experience a quality stay in a small, picturesque village on the island of culture and adventure.
Totally refurbished, your vacation home is built of locally-quarried Brač stone and has a traditional terra cotta tile roof and oak shutters. The large stone terrace, ideal for relaxing and entertaining, has a nice view of the village harbor and surrounding bays. UPDATE: Grill coming to the terrace 2015!
Not surprisingly, since the owners live in Sweden, the ground floor is open plan and allows guests a choice of seating. Sit at the granite counter with a glass of wine and chat with the cook (who will love the kitchen!) or gather on the built-in bench seating around the hand-crafted table as the sun streams in. Oh, and there is a wood stove for chilly evenings. The wine cellar is just a few steps down and recalls an earlier era with its vaulted ceiling.
There are two good-sized bedrooms with natural oak flooring on the second level. A variety of reading materials and area information are to be found in the hall bookcase. Upstairs, there is a modern bathroom, double bed and media center with HD TV and cable. Unexpected guests – open the sofa bed! Guests can watch a DVD from the extensive collection or pick out a board game.
Walk out to the terrace and sit at the table under the large umbrella. And yes, the WiFi covers the terrace if you want to bring the sounds out with you! The kayaks await your use and there is even a printer if you need printed proof of what a good time you had!
