The Neighborhood
Wynwood arts district is home to over seventy galleries, five museums, three collections, seven art complexes, twelve art studios and five art fairs.
Every 2nd Saturday of each month a community wide Art Walk is held. Galleries, art studios, alternative spaces and showrooms open their doors to the public for art, music and refreshments.
Wynwood features Retail Stores, Antique Shops, Eclectic Bars, and one of the largest open-air street-art installations in the world.
The Wynwood Arts District is one of the largest and most prominent creative communities in the United States.
Right next to Wynwood is Midtown. Midtown's urban design is reminiscent of New York's So Ho district with a Miami twist. It features hundreds of stores including Ross, Marshall's, Homegoods (T.J. Maxx), Sports Authority, Target, not to mention the Guess Factory Outlet and a number of great restaurants.
What else is to love?
Just 5 minutes walk away is La Guardia produce- the best fruit/veg market in. It's DIRT CHEAP and everything is fresh. Literally bags of vegetables only cost $1.
