It also makes an excellent base for exploring the flamboyant town of Knokke. The cosmopolitan town of Sluis is just across the border on the Dutch side. Anyone who loves culture, museums and history will enjoy a visit to picturesque Damme and/or the medieval city of Bruges, both within cycling distance. The coast and the polder area offer many hiking and cycling routes. The house has a child-friendly garden on the sunny side, with a large terrace which is a fun place to enjoy a barbecue in the evening with a Belgian beer or wine, or to relax round the lovely outdoor fireplace.
