Die zahlreichen Schiessscharten zeugen von bewegten Zeiten . Die Decken aus massiven Balken und Täfer aus Edelkastanienholz, die Mauern aus bis zu einem Meter dicken Granit. Das Haus wurde in den Jahren 2002 bis 2003 sanft renoviert und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Das Onsernone-Tal ist eine grüne Oase und durch seine Lage von der Sonne verwöhnt, auch und besonders im Winter. Die Dörfer liegen nicht im Tal unten, sondern hoch oben am Südhang. Die Region "Lago Maggiore" ist mit 2300 Sonnenstunden pro Jahr, die sonnenreichste Region der Schweiz.
