The Cottage in bohemian Montpelier

Beautiful house in the bohemian Montpelier area of Bristol with loads of charm & warm vibes. Open-plan living/dinning space with 2 double bedrooms & a sun-trap garden out back. Easy bus routes into town & free on-street parking. Our guests love it!

The house sleeps up to 4 people with a master bedroom (with double bed), a smaller bedroom (with double bed/futon)and an upstairs bathroom (bath only!). The kitchen is fully equipped with sink, gas hobs, electric oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There is also a dinning table and chairs. The house is really warm with instant hot water and central heating. Wifi is available for a charge of £2.50 per day.

There is a lovely, sunny back garden with casual seating and plants as well as an awesome forest scene painted by local artist Xylimm,which gets wonderful afternoon sunshine as well as filling the house with sunbeams on those balmy Bristol afternoons.

We are an easy-going family and understand that most people like a late check-out. Therefore, we ask people to check out by 10pm-midday. This gives us time to clean before the next guests arrive. We leave the house in a lovely, clean and fresh state. We expect to find it in the same state when we come to prepare for the next guests (obviously, we do not expect people to hoover etc. however, if we need to hire in extra cleaning we reserve the right to charge an extra £25. This will rarely apply, however, there have been 1 or 2 people who have left the bathroom in a state no-one wants to see!

As we work, and there is no one living in the house, we need to arrange for someone to be there to let our guests in. If you are unable to make this time please arrange another time with us in advance.
Please be aware that we will wait at the premesis for 10 mins only. If you are aware that you are going to be late it is sensible to make arrangements prior to arriving.

It is near to local shops and amenities including the award winning Better Food Company (organic supermarket & cafe). We are only 10 minutes walk from the city centre and 10 minute drive/taxi from Bristol Temple Meads train station and the Cetral Bus Station. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the house for journeys into the city centre (#5, #25). We are 2 minutes drive from Junction 3 of the M32. Bristol International Airport is a 30 minute drive/taxi ride.

Parking is available in the street outside the house, although you have to pay between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. You can purchase parking permits from us for £2 per day. Please let us know in advance if you require permits.

Montpelier has become popular with local artists and students and is close to special grafitti sites and lots of lovely shops.

There are many great restaurants and take-aways in the area, but if you fancy a cozy night in, we can offer personal catering (additional cost). The tantalising menu ranges from locally reared steak salad and chips to more tradional fare such as Toad-in-the-hold. All dietary requirements catered for (vegetarian & vegan included).
