The house consists of several separate buildings and terraces, built mostly of STONE. The house is especially proud of its 100 sq.m. large terraces which offer a UNIQUE VIEW OF THE SEA and the surrounding islands.
The residential area ( 61 sq.m.) consists of two bedrooms (one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed and two single beds), a living/dining room with one additional bed and a futon, a small kitchen and a bathroom.
Beside a small kitchen inside the house, there is a really beautiful and fully equipped SUMMER KITCHEN which is located in a separate building next to the house. It features a large window overlooking the main terrace and the sea. There is an toilet in a separate building and an outdoor shower. Next to the summer kitchen there is a big BBQ area equipped with a stone sink.
The ceilings are high (2.2 to 3.5 m), asymmetrically vaulted, decorated with wooden beams and equipped with large ceiling fans, for those who do not prefer air conditioner. Air conditioner has a strong heating as well.
ALL MODERN AMENITIES such as air conditioner, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, DVD player, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge with freezer etc. available.
Outside of the house there are: big garden with different kind trees and herbs, a few stone terraces and a balcony, stone sink and a big BBQ area just in front of the summer kitchen, outdoor shower, outdoor porch furniture ( a big table and chairs for ten), deck chairs, portable sun loungers.
AVAILABILITY and SUITABILITY
This house could sleep up to 6 people comfortably. In fact, this house could sleep 8 people less comfortably, but in this case at least two of them should be children.
It is available all year round, although in the winter months is more appropriate for a smaller number of people. This is because the summer kitchen is usually cold in the winter and cooking in the small kitchen within the house is inadequate for many people.
This lovely house is the perfect choice for families with children, couples, groups of friends, pets owners, nature and long walks lovers, foodies and people who know how to enjoy the island atmosphere where friendship is easy to establish. And for all those who want a great escape into pure eco zone very close to city centres.
HOME ATMOSPHERE
The house ensures peace and complete privacy as the plot is large and therefore isolated from the sights or sounds of neighbours, yet it is close enough to let you get anywhere within minutes on foot.
Located slightly uphill, the property boasts a spectacular sea view, especially at sunset. You can see the sea from everywhere, regardless of whether you are in the bedroom, living room, kitchen, even under the shower or on one of the terraces. You can also enjoy observing the sky with thousands of stars from comfortable sun loungers.
In this house cooking is a special pleasure because, while cooking, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea through the large kitchen window; right in front of the kitchen is a terrace with a big table and an outdoor sink equipped with a BBQ and there are numerous spices with their scents which invite you to pick them and put into dish directly.
The kitchen is fully equipped with various kitchenware and appliances.
Therefore this is foodies heaven!
SOMETHING ABOUT ISLAND ZLARIN
Island Zlarin is an ideal eco destination if you are looking for peace, crystal blue sea, clean air, beautiful pine forests, a charming experience of a Dalmatian island and colourful fun for everyone.
Zlarin is called island of corals, the green island or the golden island due to the large number of sunny days a year. This serene island is a peace of paradise that leaves no one unimpressed. It is therefore no wonder that there is evidence of life on Zlarin since prehistory, from Neolithic times to Roman ages.
The island of Zlarin is one of the few islands on the Adriatic Sea that do NOT ALLOW CARS which gives it a special charm. This true ecological oasis is located in the central Adriatic, 3,5 nautical miles (7 km approx.) away from the town of Sibenik. The island is reachable by ferry services that depart from Sibenik ( and Vodice) and take you there in 25 minutes by the regular ferry service.
As Zlarin is a traffic free island, you need to leave your car in Sibenik, if coming by the car. We would kindly organise safe parking for you and escort you to Zlarin and the house.
You won't miss your car while you are in Zlarin. Given the small size of this traffice free place, all major destinations such as store, post office, restaurants, cafés, beaches etc., are less than 10 minutes of a pleasant walk away from the house.
On Zlarin, you can find all kinds of beaches: partly sandy, pebbles and rocky, beach for children and secluded, hidden ones.
Crystal clean sea (even in the port itself!) invites you to swim endlessly. Both you and your kids will enjoy the safety of the beaches. The sea has virtually no current and is startlingly clean.
A mile-long hiking trails by the sea extends all over the side of the island which will inspire you for a long walks. The forest trails surrounded by beautiful vistas and olive groves will also attract you to take long hikes or bike rides. In the town center, there is a brand new children playground.
This gorgeous island is famous for its long tradition of red coral mining.
Zlarin is not only the gem of nature, but also an island of great fun. During the summer, Zlarin hosts numerous fun and cultural events of all kinds. You would also love sitting in one of the bars or restaurants near the sea and enjoy the offering.
JEWELS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Although Zlarin has plenty to offer, don’t miss its attractive neighborhood such as the city of SIBENIK, the old native Croatian town with bountiful history. Main sites include the Cathedral of St. James, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list, and four fortresses.
Also, cities Sibenik and VODICE offer an intense nightlife, especially during the summer.
Sibenik County is the only Croatian county that boasts two National Parks – Krka NP (only 18 km from Sibenik) and Kornati NP ( 15 nautical miles away from Zlarin).
Also, some of the numerous small islands that make the Šibenik archipelago are accessible from Zlarin through regular and affordable boats.
Ship tours to Kornati National Park and Krka NP or surrounding islands are also organised from Zlarin.
