You can enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere for which the village is famous, or just walk or cycle, for example, through the waterfowl area just outside of the village. For a bit more action, you can visit Hoorn, Enkhuizen or Medemblik, lovely towns with a port, lovely shops and a famous East India Company past, the remnants of which are worth the effort of visiting. West Frisia is a region where you can make wonderful excursions of discovery both by bicycle and by car.
