Welcome to Cerro Bellavista - the most authentic and central area of Valparaíso. Our Apartment is in the centre of the hill, with breathtaking views where you feel like floating over the roofs of Valparaíso. The cosy and bright apartment has a french balcony overlooking the Pacific and Bay of Valparaiso and this dazzling city, which became part of the UNESCO world heritage in 2003.
The living room with kitchinette has a comfortable and separat sitting area with a writing desk overlooking the sea and a comfy sofa that also sleeps two, and enough sitting space for 4 people. The neat but fully equipped kitchen area has a galley table and the area is tiled. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, pans and pots, a coffee maker, cutlery, a small oven and ba big fridge with freezer. The stove has two fire places and is with natural gas.
The bedroom has a spacious and comfy double bed, night tables and a lot of space in drawers and wardrobes. Its window is to the inner patio, which means it is very quiet at night. The tiled bathroom comes with a shower and also space for all your utensiles and has a window. From the french balcony you can not only overlook the neighbourhood, but also get a panoramic view of Valparaiso, the bay and the countryside. The apartment is unique! For its brightness, its finishing of recycled woodwork and the braethtaking view that lets you float above a city that is both lovely and slightly mad. The sun makes it luminous, with the many windows it stays airy in summer though. Everything you will need for your stay is provided: dishes, cutlery, cooking utensiles, linen and towels. You have access to a laundry machine.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a house built earthquake safe in 2005 with an inner patio. You reach the apartment by stairs and have access to FREE WIFI in the studio and on the terraces. You will adore the neighbourhood of Cerro Bellavista! We live here since 2013 and fell completely in love with our barrio. It is home of many artists and writers but kept its authentic charm. You will immediatly feel like part of the community rather than like a short term visitor to this town. Located on a hill above city centre, the house is close enough to downtown but also far enough away to provide a nice and quiet space where to escape. Access is on foot - a mere 250 steps up a staircase - or by collective taxi from the Plaza Ecuador below - or by funicular railway, the one called Espiritu Santo.
Cerro Bellavista neighbourhood also includes the mayor sights of Valparaiso: La Sebastiana, the home of Pablo Neruda and now a museum and community centre, just up the street and the Museo Cielo Abierto, Valpo's first grafitti hotspot in the early 1990s. The area is also more and more becoming an alternative option for going out at night with some of towns' best restaurants, little cafes and handicraft shops. However, it is also a plain old residential neighbourhood and not overrun by tourists like Cerro Alegre or Cerro Concepcion.
