This spacious, tastefully decorated apartment (approx. 110 m) is situated on the 1st floor of a monumental former courthouse from 1890 in the picturesque, pleasant centre of Monschau in the Eifel. The apartment has its own direct entrance. There are many cosy restaurants and shops in the immediate proximity of the apartment. It is the ideal starting point for long Nordic Walking - and cycling trips in the nature park " Hoge Veen" or the "National park Eifel". Monschau also has many attractions and museums like the famous 18th century "rote Haus", the brewery museum, the glass blowing factory, the 13th century castle of Monschau, the print museum, the photography and film museum, and the old town is definitely worth visiting for its old trade houses. To get a good first impression a 30 minutes trip on the Monschau tourist train is definitely recommended ! A visit to the city of Aachen (38 km) is also very recommended. Children too will have a good time in Monschau and its region. In Rohren there is a 1251m long summer toboggan and in Monschau itself a large swimming pool. When there is enough snow in winter you can langlauf and ski in Rohren. In short : truly recommended !
