Rental Details
You can stay for a week, a weekend or midweek on your own 5000 m2 island in this Finnish wooden house in Bergentheim. The island is reached via a journey of just 25 metres in the two rowboats, which is an experience in itself. You will have the whole island to yourself. The island is situated in the middle of a large fishing pond, around which you will see other holiday houses. Pets can roam freely on the island and you can enjoy perfect peace and privacy here among the rhododendrons.
In the simple house itself you will find a cosy sitting nook with a wood stove, a large dining table and games such as chess and checkers. Outside, you can barbecue on the grill, sit by the water on the wooden deck or play a game of volleyball. There is also some playground equipment and a basketball net for the kids. You can go fishing in the pond with a permit. Of course, you can also take the rowboat out for a spin on the pond.
The town of Hardenberg is close to the holiday house and you can also visit the historic little village of Gramsbergen. The area around Bergentheim is on the boundary line between the Vecht and Reest valleys, making it a great place to explore by bike, on foot or by canoe on the Vecht river. For kids, an outing to the Slagharen amusement park is a must. With all this and more, the house is an ideal place to enjoy the outdoor life.
