Rental Details

The room is in our modern and spacious house located in the South of Edinburgh, just 25 min from the city centre with regular direct bus service and good local amenities. Free private parking 24/7.

AMENITIES: The house is located in the quiet and leafy neighbourhood of Gilmerton. There are lots of local amenities nearby. The local supermarket and shops, post office, library and pharmacy are only 2 minutes away and there are three more supermarkets, takeaways and pubs within walking distance. Cameron Toll shopping centre with lots of shops, bank and food places as well the Commonwealth swimming pool with gym are only 5 min by car (10 min by bus).Kinnaird Park Shopping centre is 10 minutes by car and the Royal Infirmary just 2 bus stops away.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: There is regular public transport. The service is 24 hours a day. We are not far away from two bus stops and there are 3 buses (7, 33 and 49) running every 10-15 min into the city centre and two more buses to different parts of town. The N7 becomes a night bus and runs all night.

ROOM: The room is a cosy and bright twin bedroom with its own private bathroom with shower and mirrored, sliding built in wardrobe. There are two single divan beds with memory foam mattresses which you can join into a double bed as well. The house was completely refurbished in 2014 and all the furniture is new. Bed linen, towels, light continental breakfast and internet are included in the price. Parking is free and you can park in our double driveway. Daily cleaning is not included but can be provided for an extra charge.

GUEST ACCESS: Guests will be provided with their own key to the front door, so you can get in whenever you want. Access to the back garden/patio and kitchen is at all times of the day.
The A1 and City Bypass (A 720) giving access to the M8, M9 and M 90 are a five minute drive away.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS: We are a friendly and hospitable couple and would like to make you feel at home and make your stay pleasant.
We are always happy to advise guests on the best places to visit in the city including cultural centres, and bars and restaurants.
OTHER THINGS: We have a small dog. Please take that into consideration in case you have any allergies from animals.

HOUSE RULES:
Smoking is not permitted in the house. You may smoke in the garden and use the ashtrays.
No pets.
No parties or loud noises.
Lighting of candles is not permitted under any circumstances.
Breakfast provisions are on a self-service basis.
Cooking is not allowed. Guests can use the kitchen (fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, mini oven) to prepare hot/cold drinks or heat up food. Please keep the kitchen tidy and wash up the dishes when you finish.
Please do not arrive drunk and disorderly.
