Caleton del Golfo, Superior Apt

Caleton Del Golfo is an old house, located in the El Golfo, southwest of the island of Lanzarote, by the sea; bordering the Timanfaya National Park. It has been family owned since the late nineteenth century and was always used as a holiday residence.

In the year 2000 the house was adapted to provide its current use for rural tourism. It has 3 fully equipped apartments and it retains the traditional typical Canarian architecture. During the first restoration, in the 60’s Cesar Manrique intervened; at the time he was cousin of the then owners.

The house revolves around a courtyard with a cistern that collects rainwater from the roofs, and then it is distributed to the rooms for general water supply. We wanted to keep intact the magnificent terrace tocontinue enjoying the sun, meals or watch the unrivaled sunsets.

We want you to enjoy this home as intensely as the many generations of our family has done so; especially our grandparents.

Caleton Del Golfo participates in environmental protection, so we recycle waste and actively seek to do everything possible using energy saving light bulbs, drip irrigation, saving faucet flow, dual cargo tanks and everything required for the footprint we leave on the island as small as possible.

Our lovely upper apartment has a separate kitchen with great lighting, a modern bathroom with a cosmetic mirror, vanity mirror and hair dryer. Accompanied by the tranquility of El Golfo marine environment and also the tranquility to enjoy a meal in your apartment or fresh glass of wine, the kitchen is equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, blender, hob, kettle, toaster and fridge-freezer. The upper apartment is equipped with the best quality in hospitality, double bed or two single beds, TV and 32 satellite channels, a great choice for romantic getaways, honeymoons and luxury vacations. It accommodates two adults and hire a cot option is available for those traveling with small children (under 2 years). The standard size of the apartment is 40 square meters.

** For maintenance reasons, the swimming pool on the terrace will be closed from the 8th until the 22nd of June 2015, the natural pool will be available as an alternative use. **
