Many beautiful villages in the region are waiting to welcome you. The area boasts many small medieval towns. Old bastide villages such as Villefranche-du-Périgord (10 km), Monpazier (16 km) and Belvès (17 km) are a must. Here you find beautiful covered markets, fine squares and magnificent historic houses. Horse riding is available in Mazeyrolles (7 km). You can follow the Dordogne river by car, but you really should try it by canoe! Canoes or kayaks can be hired at Siorac-en-Périgord (21 km). Here there is a beach too. Another active excursion you can make is to the caves at Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil (39 km). Fascinating and informative for young and old.
