Then there is Saint Nectaire, which is an ideal base for beautiful hikes through the (mountain) landschap, lovely/sports cycling routes and splendid motor trips. In the direct surrounding, there are many lakes to swim and sunbathe; at some of these lakes there are canoes or boats for hire. For golf lovers there are 4 golf courses (9 and 18 holes).

Highly recommended is the Parc Vulcania, a very captivating open-air park about volcanism, unique in Europe! Perhaps unexpected: even in the winter you can enjoy it greatly over here!
