Vigna Ilaria is a charming and picturesque inn, named after the vineyard that flourished in the area of Santo Stefano where the inn now stands. We are surrounded by fertile countryside yet are only a short distance from the famous 16th century city walls of Lucca. Ours is an area of high-quality tourism that prides itself on a way of life which pursues excellence without ostentation.

The inn combines comfortable accommodation with a first-class restaurant.

Dishes

Our dishes are made up of select elements that complement and harmonise with each other. They are born from a respect for the earth and from our ethical and sustainable beliefs. In designing our dishes we draw upon our memories and emotions to try to find the essence and the magic of every product, to do justice to the skills of our producers and the bounty of the season.

We believe in using excellent raw materials and for our cooking to bring out their best qualities in a simple and respectful way. Our cooking is led by the quality of our ingredients; you could say, “We try to be the daughter of the ingredients and not their mother.” That is OUR KITCHEN.

Garden

The inn has a large, attractive and well-tended garden, which is used for dining in the Summer months. A particular delight is our position within the green hills of Pieve Santo Stefano.

Cellar

Our cellar is particularly well-stocked and besides including many well-known and famous labels also reflects our pride in local wines. We are happy to organise wine-tastings and other parties and occasions.

Bedrooms

The inn offers both accommodation and restaurant. We have four spacious and well-equipped double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. In addition we have an apartment suitable for up to 6 people. The bedrooms are very comfortable and are equipped with television and other modern conveniences.
