Situated at the end of a quiet country lane Aldermoor Farm offers a haven for walkers and birdwatchers with an abundance of footpaths in the immediate vicinity to the summit of Roughtor and Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor (the highest point in Cornwall) and Crowdy Reservoir, situated within the Bodmin Moor Site of Special Scientific Interest. Sixteen acres of Aldermoor Farm have been registered by the Cornwall Wildlife Trust as an official wildlife site. For those who bring wellington boots, the marshy area, which has not been farmed for 50 years, is well worth a visit due to its vast array of flora and fauna which attract some very rare butterflies. Close by are Port Isaac, Padstow and the world famous Tintagel Castle ruins.
