****Our location is 20 miles east of the Fairbanks International Airport and 15 miles from the city limits. Chena Hot Springs is located another 45 miles passed our location. We are not quite out in the remoteness of Alaska, but it's close. There is no public transport to our location, so it will be necessary to have a rental car or taxi. (FYI: Cabs are very expensive this far out) Because Alaska is so vast, a rental car would give you the freedom to enjoy many summer or winter activities in the area. The guest room will have pamphlets for various seasonal attractions.

****The room is furnished with a queen size bed, sheets and blanket, double sided closet, bedside tables with touch lamps as well as a ceiling fan light, dresser, bedside shelves, lounging table with 2 chairs with cushions. The windows are dressed out with black out curtains to keep as much of the direct 24 hr. summer sunlight out as possible for sleeping as well as the low lying short lived winter sun. The closet has ample space for luggage storage leaving a bit of room to relax. The room also comes with a wall mount 31” LED TV with satellite. Because it is on a swivel you can watch from the bed or at the table in a lounge chair. Smoking is not permitted inside at all. But you are welcome to step outside on the deck.

****The private bathroom has very large shower. Big enough for 2. It includes 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth per person. 1 soap bar is provided for the sink. If other amenities are needed, a list will be provided at $2 per item. There is also a large capacity washer and dryer if needed at $10 per load. A pouch of TIDE laundry detergent is included along with an iron and ironing board if needed.

****Guests can freely use the main living room area. It has 2 large 7' panoramic windows giving one a nice expansive view of the great outdoors. It's furnished with a futon and a large sofa. And also has satellite TV.

****Vehicles may be plugged in or, if not too large, may park in the heated garage in extreme cold temperatures.

****A small morning snack of orange juice, milk, and coffee or tea with toast and homemade Alaskan blueberry jelly is included. A breakfast menu is available at $20 per couple if a heartier breakfast is required. The menu will be displayed next to the bed and can be arranged for upon arrival.

****There is a local dinner house located 5 miles east. “TWO RIVERS LODGE”. The lounge (smoking) menu consists of anything from pizzas to sandwiches. The lounge is very casual and almost always filled with the colorful local populous. The dining room (NON-smoking) menu has wonderful steak and seafood choices among a variety of other items prepared by Chef Jon. Reservations are recommended. It is open Tuesday thru Sunday, 5-9 PM. CLOSED on Monday. Since we don't serve dinner, you might want to think about dinner there or grab something to eat in town prior to driving out.
