In summer you can sit out by the doorstep and enjoy the pleasant hustle and bustle here as the ships come and go. Zierikzee is a historic town on the Oosterschelde in Zeeland province which contains 568 monuments, a unique medieval street layout and the oldest working carillon in the Netherlands. Climb the grandiose Saint-Livinus Monster Tower, visit the harbours or take a moment on the sea dike to spot porpoises and seals. Smell the salty sea air and listen to the sound of the gulls.

Enjoy a delicious Zeeland speciality, such as a bolus bun or an eel roll, at one of the outdoor cafes in the charming town centre. You can also pay a visit to the town of Goes, and if you fancy a day at the beach then you can be in Renesse in no time. The Grevelingenmeer is also great for a day of fun in the water.
