This holiday home situated in the centre of Kollum was the coach house of an historic dwelling that used to be a doctors residence. The holiday home feels cosy and has a high standard. Garden doors in the large bedroom lead to a private terrace. The Koetshuis coach house is situated by a shopping street in Kollum, which has an authentic character due to the historic buildings. Because of its central location, all provisions such as shops, supermarkets, a snack bar and restaurants are all at walking distance.
Kollum lies centrally between Leeuwarden and Groningen and is characterised as a village with a small town flavour. With its 31 monuments, Kollum has a protected conservation area. From Kollum there is an open water route to the Lauwersmeer and the Waddenzee is also easy to reach. A daytrip to Frisian islands Schiermonnikoog or Ameland is a great activity during your stay in the Koetshuis. Just outside Kollum, you can find a large outdoor swimming pool.
Nature reserve the Lauwersmeer with its large and small lakes, creeks, beaches and forests is well worth a visit. From the water, but also from the trails and cycle paths, you can enjoy an extremely varied flora and fauna. The picturesque and lively town of Dokkum is a short distance away. If you are looking for a larger town, you can choose between Leeuwarden and Groningen. A holiday home with a variation of activities in the immediate vicinity.
